Worship Area

The Space

The worship area has a beautiful, modern design with an oval shape, high ceiling, carpeted floor and raised wooden platform at the front. There is a semicircular first floor gallery with an excellent view of the church interior. The church is well heated and has excellent acoustics and lighting. The worship area has 117m² of usable space and holds up to 200 people: 150 on the ground floor and 50 on the first floor gallery.

This space has been used to host concerts, large meetings, charity meals, film clubs and more.

Accessibility

The worship area has wheelchair access on the ground floor via the front door to the church, through two sets of double doors. Note there is no lift and therefore no wheelchair access to the first floor of the building. Access to the first floor balcony can be found via the steps in the church foyer and via the two sets of stairs to the left and right of the front wooden platform. Two fire escapes are also situated either side of the front wooden platform.

The audio visual system has an induction loop system to assist those with hearing aids.

8 chairs with armrests are available to ease transfers (i.e. sitting down and standing up) for those with limited mobility.

Facilities

The church has 272 moveable, stackable chairs, the vast majority of which reside in the worship area.

There is a modern, high-spec audio-visual (AV) system* controlled from the first floor gallery. Both static and roving mics are available with speakers situated all around the room. There is a double-projection system for the wall at the front. A TV is attached to the first floor gallery, visible to those presenting, which mirrors what is shown on the projectors.

An organ, keyboard and drums are available on request, all of which can be equipped with mics and controlled by the AV system (please note that use of AV equipment is subject to staff availability and an additional fee).
